6. CSMRS organised a 2 days Training Course on “Embankment Dams” during 13-14 October, 2022. A total of 34 participants from ten organisations participated in the training programme.
7. Shri R. S. Sehra, Scientist ‘D’, CSMRS presented a paper on “Instrumentation for Safety of Dams – Issues, Challenges and Lessons learnt in Indian Context” during Technical Session VII in the International Dam Safety Conference, 2022 held at Rajasthan, during 10-12 October, 2022

12. CSMRS Rock Mechanics team visited Adi Badri Project (Barrage site) on 10.11.2022 for selection of site for conducting cyclic plate load tests for the determination of Modulus of Deformation of Rockmass.
13. CSMRS team visited Madhayamaheshwar small hydro project, Uttarakhand and during the visit a Memorendum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between CSMRS and project authority UJVNLimited for providing services related to quality assurance and quality control of the project.
14. CSMRS Rock Mechanics team visited Sunni Hydroelectric Project, Himachal Pradesh for guidance and inspection of site preparations for field investigations in power house drift.
15. A two day training course on "Geotechnical Investigations and Quality Control Aspects of Earth and Rockfill Dams for irrigation and power projects" was organised on 10-11 Nov, 2022 at CSMRS. A total of 27 participants from 4 organisations participated in the Training Course.

July-September 2022
1. Dr. R. Chitra, Director, CSMRS visited Punatsangchhu-I HE Project, Bhutan as member of the Indian delegation and visited the project site during 11 - 13 August 2022.
2. माननीय गृह एवं सहकारिता मंत्री, भारत सरकार की अध्यक्षता में गुजरात प्रांत के सूरत शहर में 14-15 सितम्बर, 2022 को आयोजित हिन्दी दिवस एवं अखिल भारतीय राजभाषा सम्मेलन में केंद्रीय मृदा एवं सामग्री अनुसंधानशाला के अधिकारियों ने भाग लिया l
3. हिंदी पखवाड़े के अंतर्गत, 20 सितम्बर, 2022 को केंद्रीय मृदा एवं सामग्री अनुसंधानशाला में हिन्दी वर्तनी प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया ।
4. हिंदी पखवाड़े के अंतर्गत,आज, दिनांक 21 सितम्बर, 2022 को केंद्रीय मृदा एवं सामग्री अनुसंधानशाला में हिन्दी कविता पाठ प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया।
5. CSMRS team visited Bastawa Mata Dam and Indroka Dam Projects, Jodhpur, Rajasthan during 12 to 15 September, 2022, and carried out borrow area investigations for the projects.
6. Institutional Strengthening of CSMRS: Pressuremeter Testing System measures the in-situ deformations and strength of soils. It is suitable for the clayey soils and soft or weathered rocks up to 100 m.
7. Institutional Strengthening of CSMRS: Cut and Pull Out (CAPO) measures the strength of concrete by pulling out a metal insert either case into fresh concrete or installed into hardened concrete. It measures in-situ strength up to 50 mm depth.
8. Institutional Strengthening of CSMRS: Digital Servo-Controlled Triaxial Testing System measures shear strength of soil samples of sizes 38 mm, 50 mm, 70 and 100 mm. Useful for carrying out UU, CU, CD and UCS tests on Soils up to a confining pressure of 1000 kPa.
9. Institutional Strengthening of CSMRS: Servo Controlled Compression Testing Machine (2000 kN) assesses the strength and deformability characteristics of rock under uniaxial compression and triaxial compression. Post failure behavior can be assessed through strain controlled mode
10. Institutional Strengthening of CSMRS: Cerchar Rock Abrasivity Index Equipment is used for classification of rock in terms of abrasivity and for estimation of Cutter Wear and Life in TBM application.
11. Institutional Strengthening of CSMRS: Fully Automated Consolidation Test Apparatus is used for determining the one dimensional consolidation properties of soil under different stress conditions.
12. INSTITUTIONAL STRENGTHENING OF CSMRS: Cross-Hole Seismic Tomography System for carrying out high resolution P& S wave tomography between holes upto 100 m depth. Maximum energy is 1200J – maximum spacing between holes up to 50 m.
13. INSTITUTIONAL STRENGTHENING OF CSMRS: Corrosion Monitoring Equipment to evaluate the corrosion rate of reinforcement by measuring polarization resistance using the galvanostatic pulse technique. It is useful for testing on rough or curved surfaces.
14. INSTITUTIONAL STRENGTHENING OF CSMRS: Cyclic Simple Shear Equipment can determine dynamic properties of soils including shear modulus, damping and simulate different dynamic field conditions. It is closed loop, digitally servo controlled for Static and Cyclic Simple Shear tests.
15. INSTITUTIONAL STRENGTHENING OF CSMRS: Ultimate Tensile Strength Tester for determining the tensile strength and percentage elongation of water stops / rubber seals having capacity of 500 kgf.
16. INSTITUTIONAL STRENGTHENING OF CSMRS: TPS 1500 Thermal Conductivity Equipment is used for determining the thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity and specific heat capacity of the material.
17. INSTITUTIONAL STRENGTHENING OF CSMRS: Centrally Loaded Round Panel Testing Equipment for measuring the flexural toughness of plain/fibre-reinforced concrete. The working range of the equipment is 3.5 kN to 350 kN. Test specimen are square (600x600x100mm)/ round (800mm dia x 75mm)

23. CSMRS Rockfill team visited the Polavaram Irrigation Project, Andhra Pradesh in September 2022 and conducted field density tests using water replacement method, field permeability and sieve analysis tests for rockfill material.
24. Scientist 'E' (Soil) attended a 5 day Training Workshop on 'Flood Management and Erosion Control' organised by NEHARI, Brahmaputra Board in Association with NIH, held during 19 to 23 September, 2022 and delivered a lecture on 'Applications of Geosynthetics in Water Resources'
25. केंद्रीय मृदा एवं सामग्री अनुसंधानशाला की निदेशक डा. आर. चित्रा एवं वैज्ञानिक मंडल ने कंक्रीट पर एशियाई सम्मेलन एसीकॉन -2022,(कंक्रीट निर्माण में क्रांति -विजन 2050 , सम्मेलन और प्रदर्शनी) में भाग लिया । डा. आर. चित्रा ने सत्र -1 की अध्यक्षता भी की।
26. केंद्रीय मृदा एवं सामग्री अनुसंधानशाला के वैज्ञानिक डा.समीर व्यास ने कंक्रीट पर एशियाई सम्मेलन, एसीकॉन -2022, (कंक्रीट निर्माण में क्रांति -विजन 2050 , सम्मेलन और प्रदर्शनी) में जल संसाधन परियोजनाओं के लिए पॉज़ोलानिक और पॉलिमरिक मिश्रित सामग्री के उपयोग पर शोध पत्र प्रस्तुत

3. केन्द्रीय मृदा एवं सामग्री अनुसंधान शाला के वैज्ञानिकों ने नाथपा बांध, नाथपा झाकरी हाइड्रो पावर स्टेशन, हिमाचल प्रदेश का 26.04.2022 से 27.04.2022 तक दौरा किया। निस्यंद जल का यथा स्थल परिक्षण करने के साथ साथ कंक्रीट सतह से लीचेट नमूने भी परीक्षण हेतु एकत्रित किये गए।

- निदेशक, केंद्रीय मृदा एवं सामग्री अनुसंधानशाला डॉक्टर आर चित्रा के नेतृत्व में 1-4 मार्च 2022 को शीला हाला पंप स्टोरेज पावर प्लांट, तमिल नाडु के ऊपरी बांध, इंटेक, पावर हाउस, आउटफाल और निम्न बांध के प्रस्तावित साइट का निरीक्षण किया गया।

- CSMRS Concrete team visited Bhaunrat Dam Project, Uttar Pradesh from 14 to 16 March, 2022 for QA/QC work.
- केंद्रीय मृदा एवं सामग्री अनुसंधानशाला और टीएचडीसीआईएल के बीच टेहरी पम्प स्टोरेज प्लांट (4 X 250 मेगावाट) टेहरी गढ़वाल, उत्तराखंड की गुणवत्ता नियंत्रण एवं गुणवत्ता आश्वासन सेवाओं के लिए 16.03.2022 को समझौता ज्ञापन हस्तक्षरित किया गया

1.केंद्रीय मृदा एवं सामग्री अनुसंधान शाला के निदेशक और बैज्ञानिकों ने स्वच्छता ही सेवा के लिए 1.10.2019 को सरकारी सीनियर सेकेण्डरी स्कूल आर के पुरम सेक्टर 4 में छात्रों को प्लास्टिक से बनी बस्तुओं के पर्यावरण पर होने वाले दुष्प्रभाव के बारे में जानकारी दी गई ।
2.के मृ सा अनु के कर्मियों ने वाप्कोस के कर्मियों के साथ मिलकर 2.10.2019 को श्याम घाट पर प्लास्टिक कचरा और प्लास्टिक एकत्रित किया। निदेशक ने सभी को स्वच्छता शपथ भी दिलाई।

आज 19 मार्च को केन्द्रीय मृदा एवं सामग्री अनुसंधानशाला के अधिकारियो तथा कर्मचारियों द्वारा नीला हौज़ जलाशय, तालाब संख्या 5, संजय वन, कटवारिया सराय की सफाई की जा रही है। इस कार्यक्रम में डी डी ए के अधिकारियों तथा कर्मचारियों ने भी भाग लिया।
